Jessica has been working in early childhood education since 2014 and obtained a diploma from Bow Valley College in Early Childhood Education in 2015. Her passion for enhancing the educational experiences of young children is evident through her extensive and varied career. Jessica joined Willowbrae Academy in 2018 at their Evanston location in Calgary, where she assisted in opening the Academy and worked in a preschool classroom. Her dedication and expertise quickly earned her recognition, leading to her role as Assistant Director at Willowbrae Academy Guildford after relocating to British Columbia which further led to her Director role.
Jessica's approach to early childhood education is deeply influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which emphasizes a child-centered and inquiry-based learning environment. She is committed to fostering an educational atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore, create, and grow. Jessica strives to make the Academy feel like a second home for the children, where they feel safe and secure. Dedicated to her professional growth, Jessica actively pursues ongoing development opportunities to remain at the forefront of early childhood education. Her commitment to integrating the latest research and best practices enhances her ability to support the development and well-being of both children and educators. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her family.
